Markers are similar to highlighters, and usually come in many different colors. These are used a lot in kindergarten for the children to draw all kinds of different pictures of animals, houses and such which are hung on the classroom walls by the teacher. The markers are neater to use than paints or water colors. Crayons which are soft sticks of color, are used mostly by kindergarten and younger grade school children. There is such a diversity of colors to choose from with crayons, such a wide color spectrum. As such the childrens interest in their work when using crayons to draw is intense.
