Pencils for writing notes in class, usually number 2 is the choice for most kids. This pencil is kind of easy to erase if necessary but shows up on paper very clearly when used in writing. Pens are the next item that kids have in their assorted collection of writing instruments. Black ink, blue ink, pen with a medium point is more than likely the favorable choice for writing if a pencil is frowned upon. Highlighters are a must when reading through a textbook. The important parts of the chapters are underscored in a bright yellow, pink or green color highlighters to make it easy when reviewing or studying for an exam.
